Getting started

Rundle opens with a few ready made routines, such as Morning and Before bed, so the first screen is never empty. Tap one to add it, then tap it again to run it. You can rename it, reorder the steps and change any duration at any time. If you only need a single timer, start a focus session instead: name the task, pick a length, and go.

Frequently asked questions

What does Rundle do?

It runs a routine one step at a time. You give a routine its steps and optional durations, then start it. Rundle shows only the step you are on, counts it down with a calm ring, and moves you to the next one when the time is up. It also runs single focus sessions for one off tasks.

What it is not: a planner, a calendar, or a day view. There is nothing to fill in the night before.

Does the countdown keep running if I leave the app?

Yes. The timer is based on a real end time rather than on the app staying open, so it stays correct while your phone is locked, in your pocket, or busy with something else.

The countdown also appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and you can pause or finish the step from there without unlocking. iOS ends a Live Activity after several hours, so for very long sessions the Lock Screen card may disappear. The session itself is unaffected and is still correct when you open the app.

Can I change a step while a routine is running?

Yes. You can pause, add five minutes, move to the next step early, or stop the routine. Skipping a step is not a failure, and Rundle does not treat it as one.

Why am I not getting notifications?

Rundle asks for notification permission after you create your first routine, not on the first launch. If you declined at the time, turn it on in the iOS Settings app under Rundle, then Notifications.

  • Check whether a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb is silencing them.
  • Check that the reminder time you set is still in the future.
  • Routine reminders are part of the Pro upgrade. Step alerts during a running routine are free and are not affected.
What is “park a thought”?

A one tap note you can take without leaving the step you are on. When an unrelated idea interrupts you halfway through the routine, park it. Rundle keeps it and brings it back after the routine ends, so the thought is not lost and the routine is not derailed.

What is free and what is Pro?

Free covers the whole core of the app: unlimited routines and steps, unlimited focus sessions, the Lock Screen countdown and Dynamic Island, widgets, history, the weekly summary, and the Sage theme.

Pro is a one time purchase that adds routine reminders, so a routine can start you rather than waiting for you to remember, plus every theme. There is no subscription, no second tier and no cap hiding anywhere in the free version.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Open Settings inside Rundle and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with. Pro is a non consumable purchase, so restoring it is always free, including on a new iPhone.

Does Rundle need an account or an internet connection?

Neither. There is no account and no server, and the app works fully offline. If iCloud is enabled on your iPhone, your routines and history sync privately through your own Apple Account, so they come back when you set up a new phone. See the privacy policy for the detail.

Where are the streaks?

There are none, on purpose. Rundle shows what you actually did this week and leaves it there. Days with nothing recorded are simply not listed. Nothing turns red, nothing is lost, and there is no streak to protect on a bad day.

Can I make the app easier to read or quieter?

Yes. Rundle supports Dynamic Type up to the largest accessibility sizes, works with VoiceOver in the routine runner, honours Reduce Motion, and lets you switch haptics off in Settings. Themes change the colour of the whole app, and both light and dark appearances are checked for contrast.

Which devices does Rundle run on?

Rundle is an iPhone app and needs iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad, Apple Watch or Mac version in this release.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual routines, sessions or parked thoughts inside the app, or delete the app to remove its data from that device. The copy in your own iCloud account is managed by you in the iOS Settings app, under your Apple Account, in iCloud. We never receive a copy, so there is nothing to request from us.

Report a problem

Email yaveez.dev@gmail.com with your iPhone model, your iOS version, and a short description of what happened and what you expected instead. If it is about a routine, telling us how many steps it had and whether it was running in the background helps a great deal.
